Instrument Operator

Work with top-tier surveying and engineering teams across Northern MA, NH & Southern ME. We're actively partnering with both established surveying firms and multi-disciplinary engineering companies throughout Northern Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Southern Maine—each offering strong pipelines of work and excellent reputations in the industry. These firms are looking to add motivated, detail-oriented Instrument Operators to their teams. Whether supporting traditional land surveying or contributing to broader engineering-driven projects, these opportunities offer hands-on fieldwork, exposure to cutting-edge technology, and clear paths for professional growth.

Position Responsibilities:

• Operate various survey equipment; including Leica Robotics, Total Station, Drones and other modern equipment
• Set up equipment and collaborate with crew chief to complete various construction layout, boundary and topo services
• Coordinate with crew chief to calculate measurements
• Maintain safety at all times

Qualifications:

• BS in Civil Engineering or relatable field
• 0-5 years of professional work experience
• Preferably one internship or one year of experience working for a Land Surveying, Civil Engineering or Civil Contracting firm
• Knowledge and ability to utilize equipment
• Experience and or interest in working on a construction site
• OSHA 10
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to weather the elements and work through the winter months

Pay Range: $25.00/hr.- $30.00/hr.
