Job Description
Maternal Fetal Sonographer responsible for performing advanced obstetrical and high-risk maternal fetal ultrasound imaging in outpatient women’s imaging outreach clinics. The sonographer will provide detailed fetal and OB/GYN imaging studies for pregnant patients while working independently in a fast-paced maternal fetal medicine environment.
This role requires a highly experienced sonographer with strong fetal echo and maternal fetal imaging expertise who can work independently without direct supervision. The position involves frequent travel between outreach clinic locations and operation of mobile imaging services throughout New Mexico.
Mandatory Skills / Experience
Minimum 5 years of Maternal Fetal Sonography experience required
Travel experience required
Ability to work independently without direct supervision REQUIRED
ARDMS FE certification REQUIRED – HARD STOP
ARDMS OB/GYN certification REQUIRED
ARDMS certification REQUIRED
Experience with fetal echocardiography required
Experience with high-risk OB imaging required
Experience with first, second, and third trimester scans required
Experience with fetal anatomical surveys required
Experience with multiple pregnancies required
Experience with nuchal translucency screening required
Experience with umbilical cord Doppler studies required
Experience with placenta previa imaging required
Experience with amniotic fluid index studies required
Experience with transvaginal imaging required
Experience with fetal measurements and anatomy evaluation required
Experience with PACS required
Strong communication and patient care skills required

Travel / Outreach Details
This is a traveling outreach position servicing clinics in:
Farmington, New Mexico
Gallup, New Mexico
Santa Fe, New Mexico
Team departs daily at 5:15 AM and returns approximately 6:30–7:00 PM.
Driver transports team on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
Sonographer drives outreach van on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Completion of safe driving module required.
